Frequently Asked Questions

Hermes collected your most common questions and we answered them!

Heading 6

What is your soap made of?

Our soap bars are made with a combination of oils and hard butters, along with cosmetic-grade micas to create colors and pthalate-free (AKA skin safe) fragrance oils. Specifically, our ingredients are: olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil (sustainably-sourced), shea butter, castor oil, pthalate-free fragrance, and cosmetic-grade mica.

Do you have an online shop?

We do not currently have an online shop but it is in the works! Keep an eye on our site and social media to be alerted when we open. For now, feel free to reach out to see if we can get some of our products to you.

You say that every bar of soap represents a Greek story. Which story was my bar based on?

Check out our “soap lore” page to learn more!

What is the soap used for?

Our soap is solely used for cleaning purposes. The bars are intended for external, topical use only. Do not consume or use the soap for any reason other than intended.

How can I make my soap last longer?

It is important that your soap completely dries between uses in order to prolong shelf life. This means keeping it out of the direct shot of any water, especially in the shower, and having a good soap dish that allows the soap to dry on all sides.

Can I use your soap on my face?

We do not recommend using our bars on your face. Our soap is recommended for hands and body only.

My bar looks like it has an uneven cut. Why is that?

All of our bars are created in small batches, completely by hand. Unfortunately, us mortals are prone to imperfection, which means that sometimes our cuts or lines might not be perfectly even. Rest assured, you did not receive a dud — we weigh every bar of soap to ensure that it is of the proper size before selling to you.
